The Steinplatte Winklmoosalm ski area offers a winter paradise for families and winter sports enthusiasts. Situated between Tyrol, Salzburg and Bavaria, it is easily accessible and can be easily discovered with ticket networks such as the 3 Länder Freizeit-Arena, SuperSkiCard and Tirol Snow Card. The Funline with dinosaur elements provides fun for the little ones, while the Triassic Kinderland on the local mountain offers ideal conditions for beginners. The 1.5 km-long snow park will delight freestylers and skiers and snowboarders of all levels will get their money's worth on the wide pistes, while away from the slopes, rustic huts invite you to enjoy and linger. The winter hiking trail leads non-skiers to the impressive viewing platform past the stalactite cave and panorama shell and children are lovingly looked after at the Triassic childcare center. From winter 2025/26, Steinplatte will offer even more comfort and improved service. No more freezing on the way to the summit – look forward to the new Bäreckbahn, a modern, detachable 6-seater chairlift from Doppelmayr with weather protection hood, premium seats, seat heating, and locking bar. Furthermore, the ski resort is taking big steps into the future with a new, state-of-the-art operations building including a service station and a functional mountain rescue base – safer, faster, and more family-friendly than ever before.

There are great daily offers for occasional skiers, such as the unbeatable Super Tuesday offer, which allows young people, adults and senior citizens to enjoy the slopes at a reduced special rate on Tuesdays (January 13, 20, 27, and from March 10, 2026). Inexpensive network tickets such as the 3 Länder Freizeit-Arena with an excellent price-performance ratio round off the offer and make a ski trip with us an affordable pleasure. The best thing about it? The Steinplatte Winklmoosalm ski area is vignette-free and can be reached quickly from Salzburg and Bavaria via Waidring (AT) or Reit im Winkl (D) without using the highway.

For us, sustainability and environmentally friendly practices play a fundamental role in winter sports. It is important to us to preserve our breathtaking mountain world and protect it for future generations. A modern e-charging park offers environmentally conscious skiers the opportunity to charge their electric vehicles sustainably. Free ski buses reduce traffic and thus the environmental impact and promote sustainable travel for our guests.

The Steinplatte ski area uses 100% green electricity from renewable energy sources for all facilities and technical snowmaking, resulting in low CO2 emissions. We close the loop by using water of drinkable quality for technical snowmaking and returning it to nature naturally in spring via the snowmelt. This outstanding example of sustainable recycling management is implemented with state-of-the-art snow depth measurements in snow groomers, which enable efficient snow management and thus reduce our consumption of resources.

The ski resort controls construction processes through independent ecological construction supervision and ensures short transport routes for building materials, efficient materials management and nature-oriented construction management for an appropriate approach to nature. Gentle pasture management by our local farmers with minimal mowing and fertilization on the slopes in summer protects the local flora and fauna.
