As early as 1972, cable car pioneer Andrä Brandtner Sr. set the cornerstones with the construction of three T-bar lifts and the high-altitude road from Waidring. To this day, the Steinplatte is a popular paradise for skiing and snowboarding fans with sunny, snow-sure and fantastic views in the middle of the border triangle Tyrol-Salzburg-Bavaria.
