If you’re still looking for the perfect ski resort for mum, dad, granny, grandpa and the kids, then look no further: 42 kilometres of wide, excellently groomed slopes with stunning panoramic views, a creative snow park with more than 50 elements, plus cosy huts. Welcome to the ski resort on a sunny plateau with guaranteed snow right in the midst of the Tyrol-Salzburg-Bavaria border triangle that’s within easy reach of both sides: Waidring (AT) and Reit im Winkl (D).
Where once huge reptiles had their fun roaming the land 200 million years ago, there’s a huge lot of fun waiting for winter fans today. Even if you don’t ski! There are some fantastic views to be had on winter hikes on the Waidring side. Like at the observation deck or the stalactite cave while the little ones are enjoying the Triassic childcare. Cross-country skiers will be in trail heaven at Winklmoosalm and there’s plenty to keep winter hikers super happy, too.

A dream location – three states, one ski resort!
Welcome to the ski resort on a sunny plateau with guaranteed snow, right in the middle of the Tyrol-Salzburg-Bavaria border triangle and within easy reach of both Austria and Germany.
On the Austrian side, the 15-seater gondola lift takes you up from Waidring, and the German side features an 8-seater gondola lift from Seegatterl/Reit im Winkl to take you up – right into the midst of amazing winter fun. Skiresort.de has just named the Winklmoosalm-Steinplatte ski resort as Germany’s best!
Steinplatte highlights
The resort, with its wide slopes and easy to moderate downhill runs, is practically tailor-made for relaxed carving. You could even let the kids cruise down the slopes by themselves for once here. The Snowpark Steinplatte is 1.5 km long, giving you the ideal place to freestyle with more than 50 elements on 4 different lines just waiting for you to rock them! Plus there’s the Triassic Funline for all mini freestylers. While the adults are swishing down the slopes, the little ones can get stuck into the weekly fun-in-the-snow programme from Triassic childcare ranging from cosy camp fires to dino expeditions. Want to be amazed? Check out the newly opened stalactite cave as well as the observation deck!
Ski passes and Super Tuesday!
There are lots of different discounts for families too. Like the 4-day ticket, which means you can use all the cable cars in the 3 Länder Freizeit-Arena or the SuperSkiCard areas. This opens up 6 more cable cars for your skiing enjoyment! For anyone wanting to visit the Winklmoosalm-Steinplatte ski resort more often, the following season tickets are valid here: the 3-Länder Freizeit-Arena ticket, the SuperSkiCard and the Tirol Snow Card. Plus, don’t miss Super Tuesday – young people, adults and seniors can ski at a special reduced rate every Tuesday from 10/03/2020! So get ready to dive into the winter!

The Triassic Park on the Steinplatte in Waidring has recently started great snowy winter offers for the whole family – also without skis. Checking out the winter hiking path to the observation deck and to the stalactite cave provides a dino-tastic alternative to skiing.
While the older kids zoom down the slopes and the little freestylers go wild on the Triassic Funline, the youngest snow fans (non-skiers) totally enjoy the Triassic Childcare – Tuesday to Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
